WWI German Ernst Pack & Sohne Short Dress Boot Knife With Scabbard excellent original condition.  We have had dozens of the short dress bayonets which are very similar to this knife but they have a bayonet lug groove and push button release which this
blade does not have (see photos).  In fact this is the only blade like this we have ever encountered and we find nothing similar shown on the net either here or in Europe or the UK.  Most all so called Boot knives were quite plain and very unlike this version.  This is a very rare item.
