    Description

    WWI German 98/05 Butcher Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. Ricasso is marked "R. Stock & Co." over "Berlin-Marienfelde" and the spine is marked with a crown over a "W" over "15" over an upside down "3". The wood grips have some light nicks/chips/scratches. The pommel and flashguard have some surface rust freckles. The blade is mostly clean, has been sharpened on the tip area, it is straight, tight, and has some spine nicks. The lock button is functional but sticks a little. The scabbard is solid with some dents on the drag area, paint loss throughout, and it is tight on the last 1" by the ricasso. Leather washer is missing. The leather frog shows light wear with tight stitching, some surface leather loss, one hole goes through the belt loop, restraining strap is complete, and the backside is marked "Gustav Sudbrack" over "Bielefeld" over "1939". Length of the blade measures 12" (1 1/16" wide x 1/4" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 17 3/16", and in the scabbard it is 18 3/8". The frog alone is 9".
