WWI Imperial German Cavalry Officers Sword Etched Blade Train Abteilung.
Original WWI Imperial German Hessen cavalry officer's dress sword.
33" blade
Etching on one side reads "Großherzoglich-Hessische Train-Abteilung Nr. 18" (Great Duke of Hessen Supply Column No. 18).
Maker marked with "H"
Guard is damaged at lower guard has a crack in the hilt
fish skin grip is in good condition, wire wrap is loose.
The blade is tarnished and has minor edge chips. The hilt and blade are all tight and solid.
Small damage to basket hilt on lower end
No scabbard.
