    Description

    This unique and beautiful Christmas scene was painted by Benedictine monks as a way to hep the faithful in their worship. The original hung in a church in Germany, and this copy hung in a church in Pennsylvania.
    The art style is called Beuron, and it was developed to bring a formal calm and beauty to liturgical art. Note how Jesus is the main source of light!

    This version was painted by two monks in 1910. It was glued to the wall of a church and later scraped off, which heavily damaged it. It took us a lot of restoration.
