Summit Systems The Trop Three Quarter Coin Operated Lighted Slot Machine:Make sure you check out my other auctions! I am always happy to combine purchases to the extent possible to try and save you some money on shipping.
This WAS a fully working quarter slot machine. Unfortunately, it has been sitting idle in one of our game rooms for a couple years (shame on me…) and at this time, it seems to be continually on “Tilt.” When you insert a quarter, it going directly into the hopper without activating the reels or allowing the handle to be pulled. Prior to sitting idle, the slot controller board and three reel game chip were replaced (at a cost close to 0) so I don’t think the problem is tied to either of those components, but… I have NO mechanical skills with slot machines so I am selling this machine as-is. When we acquired it quite some time ago, it was fully working but as I said, it has been sitting idle for a while so you will need to trouble shoot the Tilting issue prior to having a working machine. I have to guess it is something minor and easy to find for someone who knows what they are looking for but for me, not so much! It was manufactured by Summit Systems, Inc., Canoga Park, CA according to the tag attached to the outside of the cabinet. When you get it working properly, it allows one, two or three coins to be played (by actually inserting quarters into the coin entry slot) and payouts are made according to the listings to the right of the reels and also on the top glass. Payouts vary from two to 800 coins! When you win, your winnings, in the form of quarters, are dropped into the metal bin at the bottom. To spin the reels, you pull the handle on the right side of the machine. There is a button to press for service, which lights the top light on the cabinet, but for home use, that is obviously just for show…hopefully…) It measures 39.25” tall, 22.5” wide to the outside of the handle, and 21” deep. It is also pretty heavy since it is an actual industrial slot machine! It is in pretty nice shape with only some minor scratches and nicks/chips in the cabinet. The three front glasses appear to be silkscreened paint on plate glass ad all are in very nice shape with barely an imperfection and bright colors and graphics with no sign of any fading. The bottom glass has one small (1” long) scratch on the right side, but if that was an issue, you could easily touch it up on the backside to make it disappear. Otherwise, it really isn’t that bad but I did want to mention it. The key for the cabinet lock is also included with the machine. The manufacturer’s tag is still on the bottom of the right side of the cabinet! Even though you may see some quarters in the bin inside to allow the payoffs to be made, those will NOT be included with the machine! You will need to supply your own quarters! This WAS fully working until it has been sitting idle in our home for a couple years. I don’t think it should take much to resolve the Tilt issue but I am not the guy to figure that out, so
please realize you will need to resolve that prior to playing a full and correct game.
This machine is in real cosmetic shape and displays very well. It will make a great addition to any game room or collection and will give you a LOT of enjoyment,
once you make the needed repair!
And maybe best of all, you won’t be losing your money to a corporate casino! Once you lose all your money, unlock and open the cabinet and grab your quarters back so you can keep playing! It doesn’t get any easier or better than that!
Due to the laws regulating the sale of antique slot machines, I will not be able to sell this machine to residents of Alabama, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Bids from those who reside in any of these states will be canceled.
Payment for the machine is to be received within seven days of the end of the auction.
Credit cards are accepted through Paypal. Provided it is paid for at the end of the auction, I can safely hold the machine for as long as you need so you can make arrangements to either pick it up or have it shipped. If picked up, ONLY cash will be accepted, or a Paypal payment must be made prior to pickup. Whatever pickup/shipping method works best for you, I'll try to accommodate your needs, but payment is still to be received within seven days of the end of the auction.
If you need shipping, I would recommend you contact Michelle Bianchi, Beltmann Agent, at
michelle.bianchi at beltmann.com
, 630-352-3312 (toll free 800-959-8880) for a quote. Available shipping options include door to door service including all of the loading, unloading, blanket-wrapping, shrink-wrapping, etc.
When shipping multiple machines, the "per machine" cost is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced, so make sure you look at my other auctions and/or ask me what other machines I have available right now!
In rough numbers it generally costs about 0-375 in total to ship a single machine to the east coast from here and about 0-425 to the west coast. I have also worked with a few other shipping companies and can help steer you in the right direction. My preference is to work with a company that provides door to door service which handles all of the wrapping, loading, and hauling. Although I am not able to crate or palletize the machine myself, I can help to arrange for outside crating and international shipping, with you paying all of the associated costs.
