Description
Original Prussian field artillery sword. Regimentally etched blade, 2nd Kurhess Field Artillery Regiment No. 47 on obverse. Reverse has floral motif. Blade in nice shape, etching very visible, blade does have some slight rusting towards tip. Blade marked under langets but cannot decipher. Blade, guard, grip all tight. Guard has some silver lifting. Sharkskin grip and wire intact. Has original black metal scabbard.2nd Kurhess Field Artillery Regiment was recruited from the state of Hesse in 1899 and assigned to the XI army corp during WW1. Fought on both western and eastern fronts. Has original sword knot attached.
