    Description

    Pre-WWI Model 1891 WKC Argentine Sword Mauser Bayonet with Scabbard.
    The ricasso is marked "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co." over "Solingen" and the reverse side has "N5753", the Argentine crest has been ground off. The underside of the crossguard has a "C" and "X", there are several other marks throughout the crossguard and grip. There is an "RA" on the side of the pommel. The spine is marked "A". The guard is solid and shows typical wear. The blade is clean, straight, tight, has not been sharpened, and has no nicks
    . Lock button is functional. The scabbard is solid with a couple tiny dings, one dent, the ball finial is marked "RA" in an oval, by the throat on the front it is marked "N5753", the back has a "D" with "x" inside, and on top of the throat is an "E". Length of the blade measures 15 5/8" (15/16" wide x 1/4" thick), the bayonet is 20 1/2", and overall in the scabbard it is 21 3/16".
    The muzzle hole is 19/32".
    This bayonet was designed to fit the Modelo Argentino 1891 Mauser Infantry Rifle, manufactured in Germany under contract. Most of these bayonets - if not all - were manufactured by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum, and Cie. (company).
