This is an auction for an Original Imperial German Bavarian Model 1889 Cavalry Officer's Sword.
The sword is in good condition for its age, with some wear on the finish from age.
The sword blade is marked on the blade with "In Treue fest", the moto for Bavaria.
The hilt has a small break on the guard as seen in the images.
The sword does not appear to have any makers marks.
The sword is 36 inches overall and the blade is 30 inches.
This piece would make a great addition to any collection.
