Imperial Lion Head Sword with Scabbard WWII acquired in Poland

This item is an original. I had to do some research to figure out exactly what it was. My great grandfather had gotten this off of someone during WWII and kept it as a relic from his days in the war. Has been handed down, now it should belong with someone who will appreciate it for what it is.
The name Feuge is inscribed on the blade. Overall condition of the sword does show its age but has had no sharpen of the blade to my knowledge.
This would clean up very nicely, the ruby colored glass eyes are still there intact. Langet with crossed swords is common Hussar period pieces. Please ask questions if needed. I really want this to go to someone who collects items of the past and will cherish this and the story that goes with it!
