    Description

    A VERY NICE Private Purchase
    KD89 Cavalry Enlisted Ranks Sword.
For Ulanen (Lancers) 7th Ulan Regiment
    ,
It is triple etched, Meaning both sides and edge.
On one side it has 3 "Blue Panels"
The end panel has the Horse within a horseshoe.
The Battle Honors on the other side of the blade include the first three Napoleonic Wars battles allied to the British Army & Mars La Tour against France in 1870.
The Large Center Panel is translated to the best
    of my ability listed above.
The end towards the p-guard has the Lancer.
The Thumb Portion of P-Guard has these markings:
    U.R.7. 4.99. I think this stands for April 1899?
The upper throat of scabbard is marked:
    LG 122.
And the drag portion of scabbard has a "7"
    stamped on it.
The original basket has been removed.
It was done professionally probably to conform
    to WWI sword standards.
And it has come to my attention veterans
    and collectors sometimes removed the
    basket for display purposes.
I think there is something about it in
    Angolia’s 2
    nd
sword book, check out chapter 25.
The Blade and scabbard are in VERY GOOD
    CONDITION.
    Overall Length 38 inches.
    Blade length is 31.5 inches.
I have several of these to sell
    in up coming weeks.
    PERFECTLY
    100% AUTHENTIC
