German Prussian Infantry Officer Degen Sword Regimentally Marked 126R.A.1. WW1

Description

This is a very nice example of a rare and seldom encountered German Prussian Infantry Officer Degen Sword that dates from the World War I Era. It is mounted with an unmarked, plain blade that measures 31 3/4 inches in length which remains in nice condition with only some minor surface staining. It is mounted with a fixed guard that remains tight and sturdy and wears the Regimental marking "126.R.6.A." on the back side. The metal wire wrapped hilt also remains tight in its condition. The black leather scabbard fits the blade snuggly however wears a different Regimental marking and although the back seam is loose and there are a couple of dings in the fittings, their staples are secure and the scabbard continues to do its job well.
