Chile Chilean Mauser 95 Bayonet & Metal Scabbard, Weyersberg Kirschbaum Solingen
-->   This is a German made bayonet for Chile's Mauser 95 bolt action rifles, in use in the early 1900's.  The bayonet is marked "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co, Solingen" on one side, and has the Chilean shield and German three rings markings on the other side.
BAYONET SERIAL NUMBER:      C 73
SCABBARD SERIAL NUMBER:   D9445
CONDITION: The bayonet blade looks great. The guard and muzzle ring are good. The wood grips are complete (no cracks, chips or missing parts). They have a few dings and dents. The pommel is missing some plating at the back, as is the metal part on the bottom of the handle. The bayonet lug channel is clear and the push button mechanism works well.  The Scabbard has a large, deep dent near the tip with some deep scratches on the back, and also another large dent on the front just above the tip. The bayonet fits in and out well.  NOTE - the bayonet will fit into the scabbard only in one direction. This is normal.
