Argentine Argentina Mauser Bayonet Model 1891 Weyersberg w/Alloy Grips. Blade WAS marked 'MODELO ARGENTINO 1891'with crest & serial number, but most has been ground off. Other side clearly marked 'WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM &CO SOLINGEN'. Blade about 15.5" long no rust but some spotting which should clean up. Cutting edge has been lightly sharpened. Alloy grips are nice. Tiny M in a circle stamped on each grip near cross guard. RA stamped in pommel for republic of Argentina. Scabbard retains most of original bluing with no visible dents but has handling scratches and marks. Also a tiny RA stamped into scabbard ball tip. Missing 2 side rivets or screws in throat but internal spring intact and works fine. Nice example 130 year old bayonet. Always study all photos carefully. . postage.
