This
rare
item was quality old school made in Germany by Deutsche Maschinenfabrik A-G. Duisburg; there are other markings as well...please see my photos. What’s
unusual
about this particular Bayonet is the Saw Back design—only

of the Bayonets produced were made this way. These were later banned and German soldiers caught with one were
severely mistreated
if captured.
A great item for the antique edged weapons or vintage war souvenir collector.

MEASUREMENTS
: With scabbard, 20-1/2”; without, 19-3/4” (blade only—14-9/16”); scabbard measures approx. 15-3/8” long x 1-3/4” wide (at its widest point).
CONDITION
: Very good used overall. The blade has no pitting, but staining—perhaps caused by old grease or oil; there is some minor pitting to the hand guard; wood grips look good; has not been sharpened or ground on; the sheath is pitted with numerous dings/dents and has at one time or another been repainted. Please
